Since her call to the bar with the Law Society of Upper Canada in 2006, Ms. Jones has practiced immigration law exclusively, and represents both corporations and individuals. She focuses on a wide variety of Canadian immigration applications with an objective to provide customized and comprehensive legal services, while including the client in every step of the process. She understands the importance of effective communication.
Ms. Jones earned her Bachelor of Arts degree with honours in Spanish from Dalhousie University, as well as a Post-Secondary Diploma in Interpreting and Translating from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland. She obtained her LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario and is licensed to practice law in Ontario. Ms. Jones speaks French and Spanish fluently in addition to English, and is conversant in German. Prior to establishing Jones Immigration Law, Ms. Jones worked as an Associate with the boutique immigration law firm Greenberg Turner (now KPMG Law) for five years, which is also where she articled. There, she advised multinational corporations on effective immigration strategy, compliance, and policy, prepared immigration applications on behalf of their employees, and advocated in their favour to Citizenship and Immigration Canada. Her most recent position was Senior Associate with Bomza Law Group (now PricewaterhouseCoopers Immigration Law LLP), also a boutique immigration law firm.
